RGYC

We are Royal Generation Youth Club, also known as RGYC. Our core value is to inspire and empower young people in our communities to aspire to excellence so they make positive life choices that benefit them, their families and wider society.

RGYC has been serving the young people of Southwark and neighbouring boroughs since 2005. We have worked in partnership with Southwark Council and youth organisations like London Youth to support some of the most disenfranchised young people in notorious wards like Peckham and on estates such as the Aylesbury Estate, before its regeneration.

Our beneficiaries are young people who face multiple challenges in their lives and are vulnerable to becoming caught up in the trappings of crime and violence, often as victims themselves. Our priority is to provide all young people with a safe haven where they receive support through group and individual mentoring sessions; exclusive opportunities to take part in activities that gives them vital life skills and enriching life experiences; and leadership roles as project volunteers.

The young people in our communities are intelligent, hardworking, enthusiastic and committed. We know this first hand, as our Youth Leaders and young volunteers have all been members of RGYC and they are passionate about all young people receiving the same support they did to enable them to change their thinking, attitudes and behaviour. This is why they have chosen to serve the next generation of young people. RGYC is s project that is run by young people for young people.
